Embark on an outrageous musical journey with ODU’s music department as they tell the tale of how one man does everything in his power to delay his ex’s wedding night.
The story follows a young woman named Serafina who marries a wealthy pharmacist named Donn Annibale. However, when Enrico, Serafina’s ex, crashes the wedding, things get a lot more complicated than anticipated.
Directed by Cristina Loyola, this comedic one-act opera is sure to have something for everyone, from its hilarious hijinks to its impressive vocals by ODU’s very own talented Diehn School of Music students.
The opera will be sung in Italian, but will have English supertitles.

“Il Campanello di Notte” will run at the University Theatre on April 18-19 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students, $11 for faculty and $17 for the general public.
